In June of 2006, after working in the construction industry with the responsibility of pulling permits, running errands and taking responsibility for the smooth operation of construction sites, I noticed that many companies and individuals with permitting needs in the community were not being served properly. Dealing with the various permiting agencies throughout South Florida, requires an understanding of language, policies, and the government way of doing things that most companies, and certainly, most individuals, simply did not possess. With the premise that I understood these things, and had hands-on experience with the permitting agencies, I could help companies and individuals through the maze of government rules and regulations that cover the permitting process, the germ of an idea was formed.

Drawing on my experience in the construction industry, I began to formulate a plan that would provide permitting services to the general public in South Florida. I had become a known entity to most of the clerks who worked in the permitting agencies. My experience was not only hands-on, but also personal. I knew how to get the job done and get it done right and get it done fast.

Within a few months, I was able to expand I.M. Permitting to cover the Treasure Coast, the Palm Beaches, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and all of Miami-Dade. Soon, the simple germ of an idea had grown and I was able to offer my services to anyone in the entire state of Florida.
